Casey Castro is the founder of online shoe store Down The Rabbit Hole. She founded it in 2008 when she saw a gap in the market for gorgeous little shoes. After becoming a Vegetarian and then a Vegan Casey became increasingly aware of what the shoes she sold were being made from. Casey went on a globe trekking expedition which ended in New York where she came across several affordable, not to mention fashionable, Vegan designers who shared her passion for saving the animals. Returning to Australia Casey brought with her their designs and hasn’t looked back. Down The Rabbit Hole is now committed to only selling Vegan shoes from designers who pledge to make ethical shoes with an Eco stamp. Casey has a background in fashion and is currently working on her own range of Vegan wares. She is based in Sydney and New York with her American husband and puppy Molly. She simply loves shoes and loves animals.
