To date we have followed a grass-roots movement and the company has been successfully operating on word of mouth referrals. Lucky You was created after the founder, Heidy Jameel, determined there was a void in the Australian market for a nutrient dense, power packed green juice. Being a DIY juicer herself she was keenly aware of the work, mess and cost involved in daily juicing. She also conceded that she could not go without her daily green juices so it was fitting to make it her business. Having lived in the US for many years, where fresh pressed unpasteurized juice was accessible to many, it was obvious that Australians would benefit immensely from this concept. To enhance her experience she travelled to Puerto Rico to study and earn certification from the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute. Ann Wigmore was the pioneer of wheatgrass across the US and a leading voice in pushing the mandate of eating food that is "alive" to maintain health and longevity. It was clear to Heidy that knowledge and education was not enough to bring nutrient dense juice to the market. The next step was to understand the many juicing methods and select the equipment that could process the juice without harming the enzymes and nutrient value. Following many months of research, Lucky You purchased a 300-kilo hydraulic press imported from the US. Lucky You is the ONLY juice & cleanse company in Australia to be able to offer raw, whole, unpasteurized juice crafted from this exceptional equipment. Prior to founding Lucky You, Heidy was the CEO of United Capital Securities, an Australian based Alternative Investment firm. Heidy co-founded Hub Information Technology and has held the position of General Manager, Sydney Futures Exchange. Prior to relocating to Australia, Heidy was Director of Stock Index Marketing at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange making her the youngest female appointed Director at the Exchange. Heidy holds an undergraduate degree in Economic's from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. She graduated Beta Gamma Sigma with degrees in finance, marketing, entrepreneurship & innovation, and management & strategy. Heidy was born in London, raised and educated in the US and is an Australian citizen residing in Sydney for almost 15 years. Heidy and her partner have 3 beautiful children, all of whom could not survive without green juice!
