light Speed Learning



A few years ago, my mom and I went to a weekend seminar for a class called Light Speed Learning. This class is taught by two people named Thomas and Jayne. It is amazing course that teaches you how to photograph books with your mind; thus, allowing you to technically access and record information at 500,000 + words/min. Pretty wild right? They actually teach you how to read a book of about 400 pages in 2-3 minutes.

Here’s how it works. When we are awake, most often, our brain’s are active in their Beta state, a state of alertness, thinking, etc . However when intend and act on entering to a meditative state, our brain’s shift into an Alpha state, a calm, more receptive, and relaxed state that allows us to really interact with our subconscious. It is that state you enter in between waking and sleeping.

As you shift into this state, but remain conscious of yourself and what you are doing, you pick up a book, gaze at fixed point near the book, and begin to flip the pages as if you are Xeroxing  the pages into your mind. There is a specific technique that they teach to you as to how to turn the pages and what to focus on, but this is the basic action.

Light Speed Leaning teaches you how to utilize your RIGHT brain as opposed to your left, to photograph and absorb the words you are reading. By doing this, you are submitting the information directly into your subconscious, meaning that you will have the information stored in your brain forever.

When you are in an alpha state, you have put yourself into a perfect state to command your subconscious mind to attract the things you desire. Next time you are completely relaxed and in a meditative state, say to your subconscious mind, “ Subconscious mind, I command that I attract ____ job, or am ___ weight, or can buy _____ trip, by ______ this date.” Really feel it and command it to yourself. The subconscious is the part of the brain that actually determines what actions we take based on the programming we have given it over the years. If you tell yourself, “Oh I can’t do that,” then your conscious mind gives that statement or command to the subconscious mind, and because you’ve told yourself that statement multiple times, your subconscious believes it to be a true program and will act and attract accordingly. This is why affirmations work if you are consistent with them, because they literally change what your subconscious is acting on!

When it comes to Light Speed Learning, the more challenging part comes into play when you would like to “access” the information you just “downloaded” from photographing the books. One of my fellow seminar-mates was a yoga instructor and taught me this GREAT breathing exercise. This is the best breathing exercise that I have found, that brings me to a complete “Alpha” state, a state of relaxation. I use this exercise if I ever feel overwhelmed, un-grounded, upset, anxious, or scattered.

You can do this anywhere- if you’re trying to fall asleep, if you’re studying, if you’re stressed, and more.

You’re body will thank you when you do the EASY sequence below- in fact, stop what you’re doing and do this right now!

Sniff in breathes in for 7 Seconds
Hold it for 7 Seconds
Breathe the air that you were holding out of your nose in short bursts for 7 Seconds (at the same pace you breathed in)
Hold the breathe out for 7 Seconds

And Repeat this Sequence 7 times.

You’ll be feeling mighty relaxed and light after this. If you need to do this more than 7 times, that is fine and will make you even more relaxed!

Your breath is one of your most powerful tools. Always remember this. Have you ever had a really bad headache and someone told you to just drink some water, and you headache went away? Water is actually one of the best cures or alleviators for ailments we experience daily or even in a serious way, due to dehydration. Just as water is a simple, yet seriously effective treatment, breathing is an excellent treatment for anxiety, stress, depression, confusion, etc. Remember your breath as it is a FREE and powerful tool for you to use anytime you choose.

Enjoy the lightness of your breath, remember, 7 is the magic number!
